I haven't been diagnosed. I'm waiting to be scheduled for a colonoscopy and hope maybe some of you can help. Had hysterectomy several years ago, and now have a stage two cystocele. In reading I find that a prolapsed rectum is considered an eventual complication of hysterectomy as well. My question is about rectal cancer. Did any of you get diagnosed w cancer, but NOT have bleeding through the rectom? I seem to have all the symptoms listed on the web site for cancer except that. I can feel the mass when I go and I'm sick for some hours after.. Any insight? Thanks in advance! CP

No one seems to answer so I guess this will be my 'diary'

So I've had a rough week. I've had to switch to a liquid diet as anything I eat causes pain and I'm unable to empty. The wonderful doctor I have has gotten my colonoscopy moved forward to this coming week. I asked the nurse if cancer always shows blood in the stool and she didn't answer so I guess I could get that diagnosis, but I'm not afraid. At this point I just need relief and I'm ready to do whatever is necessary. I got news that my insurance company may drop our local hospital conglomerate, so I could wind up without my wonderful doctor and have to go to another town in our rural area to get medical care. Fingers crossed that doesn't happen because its so good to have a physician that truly is on your side..
