    Vocal cord cancer

I have vocal cord cancer and had surgery, now I am doing radiation, I have had 14 treatments and 16 to go. My throat is so painful right now. I cant hardly eat or drink anything, I am on Lortab and lidocaine for pain but it still isn't taking the pain away. Has anyone else had this problem? Plus I get strangled on water and other liquid things, seems to go down my wind pipe.

Very sorry you had to suffer and hope you've made a full recovery. Would you mind sharing your first signs that something might be wrong?
