Post new here,have a question,really need answers

My friend just got a tumor in her head,I do not know if it is cancerous,I have no clue about any of that type of stuff.Anyway she had surgery and they removed part of it but couldn't get the rest.If it gets any worse then she has to go through chemo.Does anyone know what the chances will be of the tumor getting worse?I'm really worried,my brother just recovered from leulimia and I saw how sick he was on chemo and do not want this to happen to her. Please write back if you know anything.

I am so sorry to hear about your friend, Darrens, but can't give you any information. I'm afraid that no one can tell you much from a description over the internet. Even when the type of cancer is known, the prognosis can be so different for each individual.

What I can tell you is that just being the concerned friend that you are, and supporting your friend, will be a big help. Keep positive thoughts and keep visiting. Send notes of cheer, and notes just to say "I'm thinking of you". That kind of support will mean a lot to your friend.

Also, if you yourself feel as if you're struggling to deal with this, don't hesitate to find a cancer support group for families/friends of patients. I don't know where you live, but there is an organization called The Wellness Community. They have locations all over the country, and they offer many support groups for both patients, caregivers, families and friends.
