Questions about Brain Cancer

Hi there. I have been getting what my doctor says are "Muscle Tension Headaches" and she has given me medication for it. However, the headaches do not always want to dissappear. Normal pain medication does not help. And when a headache strikes, I almost cannot do anything. I was just wondering if this could be related to brain cancer.

Thanks.

Re: Questions about Brain Cancer

I also have muscle tenion headaches from time to time. Normally this type of headache will move around in your head. It doesn't really "settle". I can have it in several areas of the head throughout this headache. Migraines will settle to one side of the head and stay there and they are horrible. I had a family member with cluster headaches and they are terrifically painful. There are many, many types of headaches, see your doctor.
good luck to you.

Re: Questions about Brain Cancer

I have been to the doctor. She gave me Tripolene (10mg) and Mobic to help the muscles relax. It worked for a while, but the medicine (it seems like), it has stopped working now. The headaches still appear from time to time. Guess I'll have to live with it. But, can it be a symptom of brain cancer you think?

Re: Questions about Brain Cancer

Alot of people get frequent headaches. If it becomes a persistent problem you can see a neurologist. You could also get an MRI or CT scan if you think its brain cancer. The majority of the time brain cancer presents with other symptoms then just headaches such as vision, balance, and speech problems. Good luck.
