    post surgery numbness

i had open release, actually more of my issuses were from the ulnar nerve, basiclly both ulnar and median and all branches were released on may 11, almost 3 weeks ago.
i woke up with completely numb fingers, they are numb and very sensitive/painful.
before surgery they just tingles a few times, my main issues were hand pain and numb pinky and ring finger. in surgery the cts was mild to moderate. my dr thinks that its all swelling and thats whats irritating the nerve. i have completed steroids and it did not help much if at all, now trying celebrex. anyone have a similar situation or advice? how long did it take the numbness to go??
    thanks!
