Elbow (lateral-side) popping when arm is bent?

Early last week I realized my right elbow was popping on the lateral side when my arm is almost completely bent. I have been lifting weights for a couple of years now.

There isn't any pain, feels more like discomfort and jarring. Sometimes it feels a lil tired. I went and did a few exercises one day with lighter weight to see if there was any pain or loss of strength but there wasn't any.

Went to see the doctor and he said it was tennis elbow. He told me to take it easy and take ibuprofen for the time being. I've been sleeping with my arm wrapped to prevent my arm from completely bending while I sleep, not sure if that's helping anything though.

I've been reading up on it and I haven't seen anything about the "popping" as a symptom of tennis elbow? Is it normal for your elbow to pop if you have tennis elbow?

Also, I've read about ulnar nerves popping out the groove etc. Is this something I should consider? It seems this might be the cause if it happens on the medial side of the elbow though?

Sorry for all the questions! I've read so much into this that I'm completely confused now. Any help is greatly appreciated!
