    Celiac disease HELP!!

i am a mother of 3. my youngst has severe atopic dermititis, i took him to a dermatologist friday, she strongly suggested a gluten free diet and mentioned celiac disease. she also prescribed him a stonger ointment and a gel similar to a bleach bath. my question is if anyone has had this type of issue with it if you changed your diet how fast did your symptoms clear up? hes starting to clear up. he has had open sores on his arms for around 6 months that i have not been able to get cleared up but they are already starting to close up. it covered 90% of his face and thats close to being clear.

could it have been the gluten?
we took away milk before and nothing changed.

    what are your thoughts?

    Re: Celiac disease HELP!!

    Welcome to the boards, Jboov.

I'm sorry for the late response. I think it's awesome that his skin is clearing up already. I absolutely think it could be the gluten. Celiac has many, many different symptoms. It's different for everyone so that could be the reason.

    How is he feeling now?
