Vaginal Tightness due to Spastic Diplegia

I am 32 years old. I have Spastic Diplegia and papsmears are impossible because my muscles won't relax and I have no control over them. The doctors have no clue because they don't know what spastic diplegia is and don't want to deal with me.

Thank you

Re: Vaginal Tightness due to Spastic Diplegia

I understand the dilemma. I've always have this issue. Just recently I went to a new gynecologist and she was nice and patient enough to let me explain to her what Spastic Diplegia is and all my previous issues I have had with this type of exam. Believe or not for some reason she was able to get a clear reading when she inserted the speculum upside down. Which is not advisable but it worked for me.

I can understand your dilemma. PAP Smears have been painful for me as is inserting tampons. I've switched to pads for the most part and haven't had a PAP for almost 20 years.
