Thumbs up Dealing with CP and HBP

hi guys, I am new here in HealthBoard and I am hoping if all of you can help me out. I was born with Cerebral Palsy and days goes by, I am feeling good. I finished High School and College with Computer Science Associate Degrees. And now, I am about to turn 31 this September and I'm actually feeling great for all I am done in my life but recently, I am diagnose with High Blood Pressure and every month I keep changing medicine due to the medicine that I'm took is not working. so rite now, I start taking this meds called metoprolol and side effect is killing me. the side effect I'm feeling are lightheaded, shaking on my hand, and tightness/pinch middle of my chest. my QUESTION is anyone of you had this situation? and how you handle it, especially tightness/pinch middle of the chest?

Re: Dealing with CP and HBP

Well that's a pretty serious side effect. Does your doctor know about this? I would think that would be reason enough for him/her to change your medication again, as much as you might not want to do that. I would call the office and bug them until they make the situation better for you.
