Question is there a rash when losing hair ?

I just finished cycle 2 and I have now a rash on the back of my head. I always have my hair cut short as possible with the electric clippers. I was courious if people under going chemo and in the process of losing their hair, experince a rash on their heads during the process ? My doctor gave me a prescription of saulve (?) to put on the rash, and it is fading away somewhat. Just wonder. I also came down with a bladder infection, which I was told could also be caused by my chemo treatments because of reduced white blood cells. Currently, not happy in Idaho :-(

Re: is there a rash when losing hair ?

Can only tell you my experience, and I did not have a rash when I was losing my hair. But then...everyone reacts somewhat differently to each type of chemo. As long as you're not scratching and the rash isn't spreading, I wouldn't worry about it too much.
