Rash on body of three year old girl

Hello everyone, this is my first post there. My hubby recommended this site and said that it's a great resource.

It's been about 10 days since our daughter started to show a rash on her torso area. It's coverage is slowly spreading despite the prescribed Claritin, as well as a host of rash creams, lotions and wraps. The Dr. said the area is too large to treat with hydrocortisone.

The nights are worse than the days and she wants to itch almost constantly. Good sleep only comes after a dose of ibuprofen.

I've given wraps at night and put socks on her hands. she's being sweet about it, but it has me exhausted and anxious.

I have another Dr. appointment today and I don't have much confidence that the right questions will lead to a proper diagnosis and treatment.

Do any of you have words of wisdom for me? This girl has been healthy and fed good quality food since she was a bump in my belly.

The rash looks like raised bumps of pale red skin, but some areas are just raised bumpy skin.

    please help!

    Hi...your poor daughter!
It could be viral, autoimmune or allergy.
What doctor did she see....Specialist or GP?
Has she had full panel of blood tests?

When my daughter was 5 she had a faint reddish rash. Took her to GP. Just by looking he say is 5th illness/disease name used here in EU. In medical term erythema infectuosum. It comes with sometimes some fever some itch. Cause is ParvovirusB19. Usually kids do not feel ill more like discomfort. My DD was home only child until school started age 4. Then she catch things from other kids at school. GP say it passes by itself. But if I see anything of concern then call again. It went away by itself.
