Post Crabby 15 month old, WHY???

My son spiked a fever of 101 3 days ago. Since then it's been 102, 103 and back down to 101. All these days he has been crabby but has absolutely no other symtoms. Today it is 99. The doctors said that this temp is too high for it to be his molars. However, maybe it is his molars that are making him soo crabby. He isn't pulling at his ears for an ear infection. I hope this isn't a personality change. YIKES. Anyone else experience severe crabbiness at 15 months and around molar time??

I did and it turned out to be her sinus which led to an ear infection and tonsilitis. She finally had her adenoids and tonsils removed and she was put on Singular and Zyrtec. All this was caused by allergies.

Your son could have any number of a variety of viruses, some of which present with few, if any symptoms other than a fever. If he has or had a fever, odds are that his head hurt and he's just miserable. Since he probably can't adequately tell you what hurts, he's likely frustrated in addition to not feeling well. Give him several days or so after he's fever-free and he'll likely be back to his old (and hopefully pleasant) self.
