Acetyl-L-carnitine for chronic fatigue??

I know I just asked another supplements question but I am now researching my problem all of the time and just came across this. When I first posted on Cycling Forums about my health I thought I was simply burnout and this was recommended to me by a number of people. I have since read the studies have shown that there is a problem with the distribution of Acetyl-L-carnitine in CFS patient's minds. Had anyone tried this to help them with their energy levels or have any further thoughts?

Howie, I haven't actually tried ALC just yet, but I plan to very soon. All the studies I've read suggest that this supplement could do a lot to improve cognitive functioning and maybe provide energy. I believe some Japanese studies have shown how the brains of CFS patients aren't utilizing ALC properly...perhaps supplementation can help this.

I'm probably going to try it within the next couple weeks. If you try it, please let me know how it helps you. Thanks.
