    Angry Dexedrine for CFS

Since GlaxoSmithKline took Dexedrine 5mg tablets off the market I have been having a bad time. Tried Dexedrine spanules, generic dexedrine 5mg tablets they are not the same as the original brand Dexedrine 5mg tablets. Dextrostat by Shire worked closely to Dexedrine 5mg tablets, but Shire took these off the market. Found out GlaxoSmithKline Canada offers Dexedrine 5mg tablets to Canadian patients. These tablets are manufactured by Catalent Pharma in Kentucky. Have written to my Senators, representative, both GSK US and Canada, as well as the FDA in an attempt to obtain Dexedrine 5mg tablets. The FDA did indicate that I can import these. How do I go about this?

This sounds silly, a US manufacturer makes Dexedrine 5mg tablets, exports them to Canada and then I have to import them.

    Any Ideas?

Is there a reason other than ease of titration you like the tablets?

Municipal Hare as regarding titration of ease - more than I can personally control the amount I need as this cannot be done with spansules GSK and generic Barr is not any good.

    Unhappy Re: Dexedrine for CFS

the spansules do no allow me to alter the dose - if I get up at noon , I might

just want 15 mg also the spansules do not seem to work for me as the GSK

5 mg tablets. I get very tired on 2 - 10 mg after 3 hours and very sleepy

and very sad. Barr tablets just do nothing for energy./

I know this is an old post but I am having the same exact problem. Do you know what Canadian Pharmacy sells this? I have checked 15 online pharmacies but none of them carry Dexedrine at all.

don't even try. i spe3nt 3years thru courts, c0mpanies ,state rep. . doctor wrote to get a canadian dr. no one answered him. you must have a canadian doctor and then he can give you a prescription for gsk dexedrine - it is a clss II drug. try the new ltquid dexedrine called Liquadd by Aurga. I got it from Walgreen . I hope this helps you. I know what it feels like

    Re: Dexedrine for CFS

Thanks for the info. My sons doctor just put him on the Barr 5mg tablets. Do you know if they work as good as the GSK tablets? I have read on the addforums website that a lot of people don't like the Barr tablets but some of them said that for some reason the 5mg tablets work better than the 10mg tablets. Some people were guessing that the 10mg tablets were actually a generic for Dextostat and some people thought that the inactive ingredients may be affecting how the 10mg tablets work. Do you have any opinion on any of this? My son does seem calmer since he started on the tablets. They started him with on 2.5mg since he is only 6. They might have to increase the dose since he is still a little hyper. He is still very impulsive. Do you have a problem with inpulsiveness and if you do, does the Barr tablets help you? I did some research on Liquiadd about a week ago and it looks like it is discontinued. Is that true? By the way there is a new liquid called ProCentra that was released earlier in the year.

A class II drug cannot be sold on-line as far as I know. Canada still has the original gsk dexedrine tablets.
