Dunno how much more I can take!

I've had a cervical fusion of my C5 an C6 about 5 years ago because of an accident I'm now in horrible chronic pain have been since about maybe 6 months after surgery and can absolutely not find a Dr that will even think about helping manage my pain so I'd sure appreciate any info on how to get relief from this constant never ending hell that I live in every single day of my life.

    I wish I could help.
I'm so sorry for your pain.
Hope that some others have some helpful suggestions.

Welcome! Sorry you are struggling so much. Keep trying on the doctor front. How many pain management specialists have you seen? And spinal specialists? By not willing to treat your pain, do you mean literally they had no ideas, or just that they wouldn't prescribe opioid pain meds? If its the later, and they do have a treatment plan, I'd suggest giving it a try. Although things are moving away from using opioids for chronic noncancer pain, they may open up as a possibility once a number of treatments have been checked off the list (and who knows, something may be helpful). As far as a key phrase to look for when trying to find a pain doc who may be open to opioids, their website may list "medication management" (vs. only interventional pain management). It gives me hope to keep trying treatments, and hope is important. Hang in there! Best wishes.

Just keep on looking. It might not be close but you should be able to find something.
