Can pain make you be vegetarian?

I am wondering if there is any relation between having chronic pain and being vegetarian.

    thanks!

i did some research during this time and Yes, it can.

pain can soften us, feeling more compassion to beings .. and our body react to taking the existence of other beings.

being vegetarian is not important, but compassion is important. if being more compassionate lead to being vegetarian that is great!

so in my experience, yes it can!

I will share on this subject that many foods may trigger increased pain in an already chronic pain patient-i definately believe GLUTENS are bad for everyone; especially CP patients. And wheat gluten being the worst of the glutens.

I've never heard any of that anywhere, I'm in chronic pain and no where near a vegetarian.

Dear shahila, I understand what you are asking, that if as a chronic pain sufferer, have i noticed that it can make you more sensitive to others pain, more compassionate towards suffering, and i think yes it does. To the extent to which you consider animal cruelty and want to be a vegetarian, i can understand that that could happen, in my opinion. Yes, i think i see what you are saying.

In fact, chronic pain makes me eat much less than I used to. While all you can think of is pain...than you don't want to eat.
