    Hi Liberty,

I hope you had a good day.

You were correct not to commit yourself 100% to him. I dont think it was hard-hearted. You had to take precautions because of your past experiences.

Part of having a strong character is knowing what you want & what you dont want, in your life. Sticking to your principles once your mind is made up also shows your strength.

I dont think you are being cynical about how well you are dealing with this break-up. The fact that you have been through a similar disappointment,
prepared & helped you recognize the signs this time.

Your counsellor's input most likely also helped you.

In a situation like yours, the fact that you can write your thoughts & feelings
in such a coherent way to me, proves that you are coping well. This is an excellent sign.

Getting involved in fun activities is a grand idea, you need to move forward (never backward) with your life.

I firmly believe that your soul mate is ''out there, somewhere'' & when he comes along, you will know it !!

A few months ago when you first wrote on this forum, you wrote that you were ''totally confused''- well Liberty, by the sound of your latest posts, you know exactly what is & what is'nt for you.

Give yourself time & space & dont forget to spoil yourself a bit.

Good luck Liberty & keep your head UP. You are going to be just fine.
    Do keep in touch.

    Hugs to you,
    Haydena x

    Liberty, hi,

wow, sorry about this delay in answering you. I missed your post.
I am fine thank you. I had my right hand operated on, 4. Feb. just like the left hand, last year in May. The micro-plastic splint, which is like a cast, will be removed tomorrow evening. I cant wait! as far as I can tell, my thumb/wrist?hand has healed well. The surgeon will tell me when he removes the splint.

HOW ARE YOU LIBERTY??? I have been thinking about you lots & wonder how you are doing. I am very pleased that I ''found'' your latest post, here.

Forgive me for not replying to you sooner & I hope you reply to this, my post, soon. Would be great to hear from you.

    Until then, take good care,
    Hugs,
    Haydena.

    Hi Haydena,

Oh that's great, you're nearly there so, I'd say you'll be super-relieved tomorrow to get the splint removed. Did it put you out of action completely for a while? That can't have been fun.

All is good with me. I am putting the final touches to my MA Dissertation proposal as we speak, so i've been very busy with that. All is great on the romantic front too as I've been seeing a great man since last July, thankfully this one doesn't have an addiction. Maybe I've finally learned a little lesson!

    Delighted to hear from you!
Take care, and I hope all goes well tomorrow! x

    Thank you Liberty,

My right hand is almost ''home free'' in that I am able to go without anything on my hand whilst I am at home. To be on the safe side I wear a thumb, wrist guard when out as I dont fancy the idea of having someone walk into me, or me walking into someone or something. So far, so good. I am having physio & am able to use my hand more & more as the days go by.

I was out of action for about 6 1/2 weeks. I managed with the help of my left hand, hubby & adult kids & my almost new grand daughter!

Wow, MA in Dissertation. You sure have jumped forward, in leaps & bounds. Great news.
I am very pleased that on the romantic side of your life, things have improved. There you go, Liberty!

All the best of luck for your studies. Keep up the good work, Liberty & do let me know how you are doing as its always great hearing from you.

    Hugs,
    Haydena.
