vaporizors - warm or cool

I have to buy a vaporizor for an 8 year old child. Which is the best warm or cold. Why do some not agree with the warm one??? Please help me choose the best. tx Karon

Re: vaporizors - warm or cool

Either one will produce the humidity needed. Check the humidity in home and be sure and not make it too humid. Believe 40-45% humidity is considered normal. Bacteria and dust mites increase in a too humid area. Keeping vaporizers clean is the most important thing. Clean every day.

I personally prefer warm vaporizers, seems to be more soothing to air passages when a cold is present or even allergy problems.

My neighbor uses the cool vaporizers and always has a mist of white dust on furniture. She also must use distilled water in the cool vaporizer.

If your child is asthmatic, then any vaporizer may cause the asthma to be worse.
