Bright Yellow Snot

I know that sounds so gross but I have never had bright yellow snot. I have been sick since last Tuesday. I thought maybe it was just allergies or sinuses. I lost my voice 2 days later and it just came back on Sunday.

My snot went from clear to that yellow green color. Today it is bright yellow. Like the color of this.... Has anyone ever had this before? What does it mean?

Re: Bright Yellow Snot

You probably have a sinus infection. It is really going around this year.

I am on my 3rd round of antibiotics. I have basically lost my voice if I talk for very long ---Your sinuses will drain and cause a lot of inflammation in the throat, hence you lose your voice.

Anytime your sinus drainage or cough mucus is not clear or even white, then call your doc. Bright yellow is surely an infection so don't delay.
