you can talk to a Board Certified Plastic surgeon or Eye Surgeon.

An upper eye lift is a procedure that is usually done in the office and causes very little discomfort.

If your site is impaired due to too much excess skin, then some insurances might pay for the procdeure.

You can do some research on:
eyelid (or eyelift) surgery, or blepharoplasty

I had mine done in October and love it !!! just kept frozen small ziplock bags with peas in them on my eyes to help with the swelling. I was a little bruised, but I bruise very easily anyway. I did not have mine done in the PS's office, because I had a tummy tuck at the same time and was completely under.
Be careful if you go through insurance.....sometimes it's not worth the time and money you spend to get it approved..depending on your insurance company. some won't pay for the testing they require to even get it approved. Also, many insurance compaines if they approve it, do not authorize a Plastic Surgeon to do it....only a general surgeon or eye doctor who I learned through investigating just don't have the training a PS does.
My cousin spent almost as much on the testing and eye doctor appointments as the procedure its self was with a PS, and then had to go back so the eye doctor could get them even 2 times after the initial procedure!!
    Keep us posted !!!

Re: how to get rid of hooded eyes

I had mine done a year ago and insurance paid for it. My lids were hooded but my left eye was worse. I had it done at a surgery center by a doctor who specialized in eyes and had trained at the UCLA Stein Eye Institute top of her class so I felt very confident in her. I am very happy with the results and it is alot more fun to put on eye make-up and see. I hadn't realized I was raising my eyebrows all the time to see
