Unhappy Costochondritis Never Going Away?

I'm a 22 year old female and honestly, I've had Costochondritis since I was probably 5 years old. Only about a year or so ago was I diagnosed and over that time I've tried heat (which doesn't help or make it worse), ice (makes it so much worse), creams, anti-inflammatory, resting, not lifting heavy things, and all around just not doing anything that might aggravate it. Yet it hasn't gone away.

I have noticed that a week (give or take) before I get my period my Costochondritis gets even worse, which I don't really understand. But it goes from the usual pain that gets worse when I laugh too hard or tense in a certain way to just hurting so bad when I inhale too deeply.

My question is: is there anything else that can be done? I already have spine, hip, and knee problems that hurt a lot of the time so having my chest in so much pain is just really taking a toll on me.
