need some advice on crohns
Hello, this is my first time doing something like this.I'm looking for some help on what to do.I had a colonoscopy done and my dr. said I have a small spot of crohns in my colon. Now I have to have a small bowel series done.I had surgery already for my crohns 5 years ago.I'm worried I will need it again.I've been having alot of lower right pain but my dr. said my crohns is not bad enough to be causing me this much pain.I feel I should see a different dr. Is there anyone who can give me an opinion?I don't know anyone else with this so I really have nobody to talk to.Any ideas and opinions will help me!!!Thank you.

Re: need some advice on crohns
My son has Crohn's-colitis, but has never had surgery for it before. He is in remission now. If you have concerns or doubts about your doctor, I'd suggest you seek a 2nd opinion -if anything just to give you peace of mind, but also for another specialist to review your results. I'd definitely find a GI who specializes in IBD for the 2nd opinion. We have two GI's for my son, a local GI who we know & trust & who's seen our son for yrs now, but also a GI specialist 2 hrs away at a research hospital who we see far less often, but who keeps tabs on our son's condition (records are sent to him from our local doc).

Re: need some advice on crohns
Thank you so much for your comment.I just found out from my last small bowel series that I also have crohns that has returned also in my small bowel, but my Dr. won't do anything for the pain.No surgery or pain meds. The pain is so unbearable sometimes that it makes me cry.I will definitly be getting a 2nd opinion. Thanks again and I hope the very best to your son
