Liver end stage

My friend had a liver tranplant 12 years ago and he was told 2 months ago that his liver is severly damaged and he has pbs which is what he had the first time that he had a tranplant the Dr say that he is not a candidate for another transplant his stomach is enlarged and he is tired. How long can he live like this. It is so scary to watch someone you love waste away.

Re: Liver end stage

Hi Juliajack... Though i would not be able to tell you how much time, i think the best way forward is to have a frank discussion with the doctor. Thats very important. Secondly, u might want to read up a bit on ur friends condition. Do chk the appropriate board on this website... It might gv u some insights. I am very sorry about ur friend. Its heart breaking to watch someone close to u deteriorate. I have been there and understand how bad ur hurting right now. All i would say is its okay and normal to feel like this but be strong for him. God bless.
