Degenerative discs

I have been diagnosed with Digenerative Discs in my back, I had a bad fall
back in July, after a MRI Scan that was the results. My life has changed
dramatically, cannot do many things like I use to, walking is hard, I get heavy legs with tingling and numbness, the only relief is if I lay down. Any one else have this problem, and what do they do.

Re: Digenerative Dics
Do you have herniated disks or bulging disks? Did they talk with you about surgery(not that it always helps).
At least you can lie down. I am not jokking.

Re: Digenerative Dics
It's common in middle aged people. A lot of folks go to their graves with DDD and never have a problem.
With your symptoms I'd dare say you have other problems.

Re: Degenerative discs
I was diagnosed with DDD last summer after having RA and Fibro for years. I have found the MacKenzie style of mechanical therapy to have helped the most for my back pain and function. The goal is to centralize the pain from both sides to the spine. At this point you can make some progress as to pain and function. It's done with simple stretches. Hope your pain gets better:)
