    Underbite

Hey everyone. I have had a pretty severe underbite for most of my life. When I was in middle school my jaw started to grow more and shift a lot. I now have a pretty bad underbite, my grandpa had it and I also have a few cousins that had bad underbites too so I know that it is genetic. My question is, should I worry about ever getting this fixed? My teeth are healthy and I don't have any issues other than my jaw gets really sore sometimes I am holding my head up and kind of straining my neck. Does anyone else have this issue or know if there are longterm health issues with an underbite?

    Thanks in advance!

    Re: Underbite

An underbite can cause the teeth to wear down unevenly, and eventually cause enamel loss. If you're able to correct the issue, go for it! if not, just know this is what could happen... best of luck to you!
