    Dentures : Is experience important

We used an oral surgeon that does not usually work with our dentist. The surgeon put it implants where the dentures can be screwed in.

There have been a couple of issues with the dentist making impressions where they needed to be redone. The first time they did not give the correct impression. The second time there was a tear. I found out later on that the dentist had never made these type of dentures. If the process takes longer that is not a big issue. Our concern is whether the dentures will fit properly.

Can the dentist's lack of experience making these type of dentures create a problem with fit?
