Exclamation I have an open/over bite, Please help.

I just turned 20, and for most of the time I had a problem sucking my thumb.
This was a bad thing but conquered now. My teeth are not perfectly straight, also I have a bad over and open bite. All 4 back teeth have had to be filled due to fast decay being they are the only ones that connect. my wisdoms were impacted and removed at age 15. That lead to an infection that wasnt seen and drained from my back left bottom tooth down into my neck.
After 2 surgeries removing nodes from my neck the Dr said "sorry I cant help anymore goto a orthodontist". I did and he knew right away it was an infected tooth from where the inpacted wisdom grew into its side, I then had a root canal on all 4 roots and was done. I never had it capped due to loss of insurance. The tooth split in half last nite while eating and I swallowed it.
Now im stuck with a messed up mouth. Little bit of pain. LOTS OF FEAR!
Last but not least, NO INSURANCE. What should I do?

Re: I have an open/over bite, Please help.

MNJU - I know this may sound crazy, but I would open the yellow pages and call every single dentist, cosmetic dentist, etc... in the book and tell them you have no insurance (your story) and are looking for a charity case. I'm sure ONE of them is bound to cut you a deal or do it for free.

If you don't mind it being "publicized" and not one of them says they'll help you then I would write to your local news (call them or email) and they'll put it on the news (I'm tellin you they will prob. lol) and someone will help you.

Let me know how it works out for ya - say your prayers as well

I like that idea alot, your not sounding crazy at all. Thanks!
I'll run that by my family and former family dentist. This might be interesting.
My other idea is apply for some sort of medical assitance from my county/state. Within the next few days/weeks I'll make sure to update you.
Thanks again for the reply!
