Red face bump under gums where wisdom tooth was extracted

I was wondering if any one has experianced this. Its been 2 weeks since my wisdom teeth were removed. I noticed on my lower left on my gums closer to my cheek a little knot. I think maby their could have been a bloot clot there and thats why its hard. It only hurts if i press on it. any one know what it could be.

It sounds like it might be the stitches. Mine were in there for 3 weeks before they fully dissolved. Is it clear or colored or can you not see it? If it's not visible it's likely that it's just new tissue growing underneath your gums. It will soften up and be back to normal in a few months.
