Unhappy So Frustrated :(

I posted yesterday...b/c I still have slight pain on one side of my mouth where my wisdom tooth was removed. However Now when I look back there I see white stuff not sure if its tissue or what it is ? It doesnt look look puss. I am also still feeling sharp pains back there that seem to give me an earache. I went to the dentist to get the spaces filled 2x last week ...and I really dont want to go back ...should I just continue medicating myself till this eventually heals ...somene please help !!!!

maybe you are seeing some of the bone. It can be visible until the gum heals over the holes. I'd continue the Advil and let your dentist know if you see any pus or feel worse rather than getting better.

It sounds like it could be tissue.

Best wishes

I found what worked for me when I had teeth pulled, was the old wet gauze trick, and alternating hot and cold compress on that side of the face, and if the advil is not doing the trick, you can also try Aleve with Ibuprofen, taken together, they sometimes provide more complete pain relief, and as to the white stuff, it might be just some tissue, I know it sounds worse than what it is, but, think of it like dead skin, On the rest of your body, if you get cut, and it starts to heal, sometimes around the cut or scabbed up area, there is that line of white skin, and as the cut heals itself, this tissue, either just sloughs off, or becomes part of the new healed skin, my fuess is that's what this is, but like they said, if things get worse, or you notice any "bubbles" on your gums, or any puss, you might want to go back, dry socket can be a bear, I just had to have another tooth pulled on Tues. , so I'm dealing with the swelling and such too, lol if the ear thing gets worse, I would go back, I know that on the top jaw, there are small sinuses that run along there, and when I had my WT pulled, that was the only thing the surgeon was concerned about,

Good luck, and I hope you feel better
