questions about a fractured root

Hi.......

Could a fractured root of a tooth cause pain...dull pain radiating in your mouth and you don't know where it comes from? X-rays show ok. Then about 4-5 mos. later an abscess? Then a RC and you are told you have a fractured root? How does it usually work? What type of pain....dull or bad?

Would or could a fractured root cause an abscess?

Re: questions about a fractured root

A fractured tooth can allow decay down to the bottom of the tooth and then abcess and CRUCIFYING pain. If the abcess can still leak through the crack and OUT, then the pain is less.
But there are few things in life as painful as an unvented abcess.

Thanks Lenin.

I was talking about a fractured root. Would that cause the same abscess/pain?
