Exclamation Strange Mandibular Tori - Advice needed

I just had an appointment yesterday with my oral surgeon. He said that I have a very "strange" possible tori.
The main mass takes up about 75% of my lower jaw. It is only growing on one side. I have four more little ones on the other side. It causes me to spit when I talk. I also have bitten my tongue so many times, the right side is mostly scar tissue. I have a very hard time talking and sleeping. I have had it for about four years, and was misdiagnosed by my doctor. I only came to a diagnosis by accident when I lost my filing.

My Questions are:

Has anyone had one similar to this?

Has anyone been misdiagnosed?

Is there any information on causes or genetic links?

How does the healing process go?

Did your doctors talk to you about reconstructive surgeries?
Speech Therapy?

I could really use some advice, and I would love to hear your stories. I am really scared. I am a young mother of two who never gets down time, I'm wondering how much I might need it. Plus, I am worried that I won't look like the same mommy to my boys. Please, any imput would be great! Thank you...
