Sugarless drinks. Whats better Aspartame or Splenda I'v heard bad things about sugarless drinks that use Aspartame. What about drinks that use Splenda. I'v been taking this drink they sell in Walgreens called PURE AMERICAN SPARKLING WATER GRAPE. Its only 99 cents. It tastes really good and uses Splenda. It doesn't use Aspartame. |
Re: Sugarless drinks. Whats better Aspartame or Splenda Splenda is sucralose, sold in Europe under the brand name 'Canderel'. It does not cause tooth decay and is non-fattening. Seems like you will be OK with it. |

And it is in a lot of stuff Sadly, the package doesn't have to say Splenda, or diet, to have sucralose in it. You have to read labels. So, you might still be using it and don't even know it! A lot of people, including myself, have gotten/are getting sick from it. Many people don't get any symptoms at all Sucralose is poison. It ruined five years of my life. I had a laundry list of medical problems while taking it. I went to several doctors. I had a dozen different tests. I was told that I had a number of different problems. I was on different medication for many years. The slogan, "Made from sugar..." is very misleading. Splenda might be made from sugar, but it is far from sugar. The resulting chemical is a class of chemicals called organochloride. Organochlorides are typically poisonous. carbon monoxide - made from oxygen so its like a breath of fresh air. deleted disallowed websites Check out Duke University study http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/18800291 deleted disallowed websites |
Re: Sugarless drinks. Whats better Aspartame or Splenda OK, so some people have had problems with sucralose though whether real or imagined is not clear. Soler, if you have no ill-effects from consuming your drink, why worry? |
Re: Sugarless drinks. Whats better Aspartame or Splenda I personally have notcied that a lot of people are allergic to aspartame. My denist says that Splenda is the best sugar alternative, especially for your teeth and gums. |
Re: Sugarless drinks. Whats better Aspartame or Splenda I'm a aspartame addict! When I stop drinking diet pop I feel great. My symptoms that I have when drinking diet pop are as follows: -Randomly dizzy -Cravings -Severe lack of concentration -irritability -Fatigue -FORGETFULNESS -numbness in the arms and legs -abdominal pain -slurred speech I'm only 29 years old and I have all these symptoms. I find it really hard to lose weight and I have anxiety attack more often as well and depression. So if anyone else has these symptoms let me know... thanks. |
Re: Sugarless drinks. Whats better Aspartame or Splenda While artificial sweeteners will not cause tooth decay like sugars will, they can still make you fat, according to some recent studies that have found that the sweet taste tends to get people and rats to overeat in order to bring in more calories to match the expectation of calories caused by the sweet taste. |
Re: Sugarless drinks. Whats better Aspartame or Splenda Porcelain72: Your symptoms are those of an aspartame allergy. Your body is fighting it. For those of us with this, the symptoms are like low blood sugar. You are taxing your pancreas by ingesting it. Try water or other non-sweetened beverages. |
Re: Sugarless drinks. Whats better Aspartame or Splenda yes this kind of low sugar drinks they have a good taste, but their is still a chemical inside, that get into your body. And the can is made of aluminum, a lot of it. I think aluminum it’s something precious, should be used for car parts or plane parts. But for a simple disposable drink’s can, it’s a waste. we extract the aluminum from our soil, just for a one minute happiness. Personally i drink one coke a week. And drink water during the week. One and half liter a day. For me drinking tasty drinks is not very important. And i noticed that when i drink two soda a day or sugarless drinks, i can't taste food very well after. Have a taste food loss. Better drink water. It’s sure it’s healthy. He hope i help you. |
Re: Sugarless drinks. Whats better Aspartame or Splenda Yes I agree about not being able to taste food. Now that you mention it, sometimes I can taste metal in my mouth... so I'm going to try my best to fight the urge to order it. I've got the water bottle in my bag. I actually drink a litre of water everyday... but it's the extra diet soda that gets me every time. Drinking out of a metal can .... forgot about that! Thanks for the reminder. Everyone... thanks! |
Re: Sugarless drinks. Whats better Aspartame or Splenda
Splenda is sucralose, sold in Europe under the brand name 'Canderel'. It does not cause tooth decay and is non-fattening. Seems like you will be OK with it.
This statement is a mistake - Canderel is aspartame but Splenda is sucralose. I used Canderel for years and suffered migraines until I read about aspartame being a trigger for migraines. Since changing to sucralose, about three years ago, I have had only one migraine attack and that was recently, probably due to stress. |
