Salty Taste and White Film After Extraction

LaciR Newbie (female) Join Date: Dec 2009 Posts: 1	Salty Taste and White Film After Extraction I just had a tooth extracted yesterday at 10am. Today, at 6am, I noticed white pockets in the hole that was left. While doing the salt water rinse, the pockets dislodge and look yellowish white in color. Is this normal? Or infection? I am in mild pain, probably 4 out 10, enough to be annoying. The film is accompanied by a salty, mildly bad tasting discharge. Is this normal? My dentist is now closed today, so I'm paranoid.
