Unhappy Partial Bridge For One Missing Tooth?

I have a possible exposed nerve in one of my upper left molars, and was wondering, since my insurance plan may not pay for a root canal, could I have a partial made for one tooth, should that tooth be extracted.

You can have a one tooth partial. If you want something permanent that you don't have to remove, have you considered a bridge? Would your insurance cover that?

Not sure if insurance would cover a bridge. What is the difference between a bridge and a partial?

you might not need anything. i had an upper left molar removed and was concerned about that, and about shifting if I didn't fill that space and my dentist said it wouldn't shift, and since it's not noticible, I just left it empty. Actually it was the last tooth on the top left
