Abilify v. Rexulti
 

I was recently prescribed Rexulti and have only been taking it for about 2 weeks. I'm waiting for my patient assistance to be approved for Pristique so in the meantime Rexulti is the only thing I'm taking to manage my depression. It seems to be helping sort of. In looking at reviews of this medication everyone says they've gained weight, which is something I do not want to do. Can anyone speak to the differences in these medications and what your experiences have been with either Abilify and/or Rexulti? Thanks so much!

rexulti was a good drug, however I'm trying to go off it and now I'm suffering depression so I would reconsider taking it

I'm on Abilify (along with some other anti-depressants). I did gain some weight with Abilify. I recently stopped taking it, hoping I could lose some weight, but I've been really depressed and tired since I stopped taking it. I'm debating with myself if I should start up the Abilify again.

I couldn't take the depression anymore - I'm back on Abilify. I'll just have to really watch what I eat because it does cause weight gain.
