    Question re Abilify

I am taking Zoloft (200mg) and Abilify (1mg) for dysthymia and generalized anxiety disorder. I'm not experiencing side effects from either med, but I'm concerned about the side effects of Abilify over the long-term.

After being on 150mg of Zoloft daily for 17 years, I tried to taper off. My psychiatrist approved of my efforts. Unfortunately, my depression and anxiety returned, and when I went back on the Zoloft, it wasn't working as well as it had before. My pdoc increased the dose to 200mg daily and added 1mg of Abilify.

That was about a year ago. I'm feeling quite a bit better and have been trying to come off the Abilify, but I can't seem to do it. I'm feeling very frustrated.

For those of you who are on Abilify long-term, do you have concerns about side effects?

    Re: Question re Abilify

    Hello,

I've been on Abilify for 1.5 years and I believe it caused me to gain some weight. Otherwise I've had no problems. It's helped with my depression tremendously.
