New to Forums - Lexapro Withdrawal?

I am new here and after having read through some of your posts, I'm wondering if I am having Lexapro withdrawals. I was on Lexapro for over 3 years, but due to lack of insurance and the high cost, I quit cold turkey about 3 weeks ago. I seemed fine at first, but since have had some of the craziest symptoms (horrible headaches, pain behind eye, throbbing pain in legs, muscle spasms, and the list goes on). Could this be from stopping the Lexapro? I never really had bad side effects while on it, and if this is all from stopping, I'm ready to start again, because this is just too much. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks!

I was on lexapro recently and had been on it for 2yrs and in that 2 yrs i stopped cold turkey too and i had weird feelings as well. I got really bad headaches and id get really dizzy like double vision and walk into things it was an awful feeling and so i started back on it and the symptons went away.

And now im on effexor and i hate it!!!! I miss lexapro but it stopped working for me. Tee

I just stopped Lexapro 4 weeks ago and had every symptom in the book....it's hard to get through but i believe it will be worth it. I think ur symptoms are from quitting Lexapro. I've been reading and it should last anywhere from 1-7 weeks. I am on week 4 and my muscle pains, nausea/vomiting, dizziness, electic shock sensations, extreme fatique are gone. Unfortunately I am just left with a kind of blah feeling and pretty anxious. Hope this helped. I know it helped me to know what was going on and what was causing it.
