    Zoloft and sleep

I posted this question in the sleep desorders forum but I did not get any answers, thought I might have more in this one here it goes:

I've been having sleep desorders, depression and anxiety since a long time, tried many anti depressants, now on Remeron 45 mg, does not help much for my sleep, my doctor wants me to start Zoloft, I'm scared because some antidepressant are know to cause sleep disturbances, my doctor says not this one, I read otherwise, anyone on this, responses are appreciated,

elga that is wrong...zoloft does interfere with sleep if you are prone to insomnia. i is a good med it needs to be taken in the gives you a lil boost.

Ha! Zoloft makes a lot of people hyper all day & night regardless of the dosing time and my Dr. agrees with this. I was a manic nymphomaniac on Zoloft, up all night, and I mean all night. My husband said it was awesome, LOL...but how long can you keep that up?

I am on the Emsam patch now, best one I've tried for no sleep interference and I've tried a lot of them.

Sorry not to have come back faster to thank you for those good informations, I will not try them for more than one day because I've already have too much insomnia, at least my doctor won't tell me I did not try them, due to see him soon and will ask about the Emsan patch, have a nice day
