social anxeity

I have Social Anxeity Disorder and am taking celexa.It hasn't kicked yet I have been taking 40 mg for a month.My therapist doesn't get me.I was wondering if anyone has this disorder and what treatment is out there?Any hope for me I have been in a hole for a long time no job,love life,friends, nothing.I want my life back.i am young and lost ,help!

Well Dizzed...No easy answer I'm afraid. Give the med a chance to work, certainly a depressed person is less socially inclined than others and the med may help there.
I think you will get the best results from one source...people. I know that's probably not what you want to hear but it's really the only way to lick this. Try starting out in group therapy, there will be others there like you which helps. Start practicing your social skills in the's safe, no one will put you down. After a while you'll start to feel better, less anxious in social situations and less depressed. Take your new skills out into the world and enjoy life. Regards
