    slowly losing my grip

Hi, I'm a full time college student hoping to graduate in May. I have everything going for me. A great job in the near future, a loving, kind supportive boyfriend, and a great support group. Here's the kicker. I'm in a depression rut. Really bad. It doesn't take much, and I feel like I am a burden on the people in my life. This happens multiple times a day. But the other side if this "civil war " is I try to remind myself of all the good in my life and the reasons why I need to continue fighting. I'm waiting on health insurance so I can get an eval and professional help, I just need tips and pointers to keep me going until I can get the help I need. I'm tired if running crying to my boyfriend, because I don't want to wear him down. He's a great guy who is very supportive of me and my depression. I just need something to help me get by for a while until I can get the help I need. Thanks for reading.

As someone who battles depression, it's important to keep your head up. Congratulations on having lead jobs and near graduation. Depression is a heavy, lonesome road, so it's good to see that you have those who love you, among you.

    Re: slowly losing my grip

As a college student, I feel similar feelings of self-doubt and negativity. Frankly, college is a diffcult mentsl transition into adulthood that brings a ton of stress along with it. I try to pinpoint why I'm depressed like what happened today to cause it? Like a bad exam, career talk, etc.... I try not to involve my boyfriend as well since he doesn't feel the same level of depression I have felt before. But actively communicate with your boyfriend. I tell my boyfriend the days I am greatly depressed so he usually brings me cupcakes and let's curl up next to him and watch Netflix for hours without talking. He appreciates the heads up and allows me to get over without pushing me. Hope this helps
