Please reply regarding random test of diabetes

Iam 44 years old iast January. Iam over weight. Usually my blood sugar is 70-80. Yet earlier there is a random test at d supernarket and they were marketing a product for diabetes. Its so happened that I just took 2 cans of soda 2 hours ago ate 1 cup of rice, chicken and pork. The result turned 220. Is that accurate? I am really nervous.

Random testing is meant to be a screening test. As such, though results may not represent your true glucose handling ability, imho your numbers are high enough to seek more accurate testing.

I can understand why you're nervous. I recently was classed as prediabetic. But that said, diabetes is treatable and type 2 diabetes can be controlled, sometimes with proper diet and weight loss alone. It's in your best interest to investigate this a little more and see your doctor. You really have nothing to lose and much to gain health wise.

Go to your doctor and ask for an A1c test.

You need a fasting blood test. See your physician.
