I was diagnosed T2 diabetic about 20 years ago. I am now 79 and recently had a blood test which showed ''Hb Alc 8.5% HB Alc 69 mmol '' The reference values are 4.8 to 5.9 and 29 to 42, so my readings are too high.
I can't see my doctor for three weeks but can anyone explain these figures and suggest the cause and remedy?
