Negative effects to a healthy diet change.

    Hi,

My naturopath changed my diet cold turkey.
I already suffer with anxiety, odd feeling and thoughts anyway.
But 1 week in to the diet, my mind feels worse, messed up thoughts, weak, tired, fogy mind.
Can a sudden good diet change cause a negative affect on the mind and body.
Does the mind and body detox from a healthy diet in someway. If so, how long will it take to see positive results.
My diet wasn't good for years before hand.

    Thanks.

Does this new regimen include exercise, like walking? Exercise can be very helpful as far as reducing anxiety and promoting a more positive state of mind in general.

The body cannot detox because it is eating healthy- but it can certainly detox if you are cutting out things like caffeine or artifical sweetners. BOth of these are addictive substances and if you used them daily and stopped cold turkey, it can make you feel terrible.
It will last about a week if that helps. Getting rid of this type of junk will be worth it if you can get thru the phase you are in.
Exercise will help take your mind off things...I hope you feel better soon.

But I feel worse after eating healthy. LOL..
I send what I eat later, and maybe you or someone could advise if it's good or not.
I don't exercise, as not mentally have the energy since starting the diet. Didn't think my mind and body would be under so much stress lol.

Thanks, that's a good idea. Even better, you might also tell us what you ate before you changed to a healthier diet. Being able to compare the two may be helpful.
