Can eating a little salty food cause swollen feet?

I only eat a small amount of salt in my food though. It seems like after I eat it my feet feels really heavy ya. It's like hard to walk around since my feet are swollen you know. I was does know if it make sense that I get swollen feet even though I'm eating a little salt. Or what other condition can cause it to be that way ya. I would like to know. Thanks.

Salt can cause water retention, but so can other things. I would see your Doctor to discuss it

My wife also suffers with swollen feet. Never thought about it being linked to salt intake. Will definitely bear that in mind!

Salt intake can cause water retention however it is usually linked to other issues as well. I would address this with your doctor. It is not normally the case to swell because of salt unless there us more going on.

I guess it could be any of those are causes of my swollen feet though. How long would it take for the feet to get away the swollen condition. Anyone know. It's really hard to walk around with the feet like that. I am really sad about it. Please tell me about your experience. Or some advice. Thanks.

You need to go to the doctor and find out what is causing your feet to swell with a small amount of salt. If it's a heart, kidney or liver problem it is very serious and shouldn't be left.

So you haven't bothered going to the doctor then?

While people including doctors, nurses and other medical practitioners on internet forums can give you information we cannot see you to tell you what is wrong.

To put it bluntly feet swelling up from eating "a little salty food" or "drinking water" is not normal. It can indicate a serious problem that can kill you so go to a doctor.

Salt isn't good for your body. We are used to eat salty food all the time and we are destroying our body...
