Well, first of all: How much coffee do you drink? Do you take other products including caffein? If so, which? What is the reason for your coffee consumption? Do you actually NEED it in order to wake up / function well? Or do you simply like the tast, or the sociability that goes hand in hand with drinking coffee?

    And: Do you smoke?

I'm assuming your talking about the caffeine intake, right? If so, i would buy the half and half kind and begin substitution there. It doesn't taste bad and it can help you bring down the caffeine intake.

    Drink something else.

I drink herbal teas normally peppermint instead of coffee. I allow myself one cup of coffee in the morning and that's it. I also drink water instead of cola. Either tap water or plain carbonated water.

Another friend of mine only allows herself one cup of coffee once a week. Other times she just avoids drinking hot drinks.

If you can't cut down on your coffee intake, maybe you should try stopping completely: "cold turkey". That's what works best with smoking and alcoholism. I agree with MyCat that water is a good replacement .

Question: We sometimes hear of people having a "sweet-tooth", so I wonder why we have never heard of anyone having a coffee-tooth, carb-tooth, protein-tooth or fast-food-tooth? (I have a vegan tooth.)
