Severe Gut Pain From Certain Foods

Hi there,

I have noticed over a few months of experimentation that the following foods make my life miserable by way of severe pain in my bowels:

- Olive oil (but not sunflower oil)
- Margarine
- Pork sausage (but not ham or bacon, or turkey sausage)
- Heavy dairy products (I can basically only drink skim milk; cheese is fine too)
- Eggs (but not chicken)

I can't see anything these foods have in common, except maybe high fat content? But most fast food doesn't bother me. I'm curious to know if a) anyone's got problems with the same foods and b) if these foods have some common chemical or fatty acid that I could be particularly sensitive to.

Where in the gut do you have these pains?

Have you had blood work for liver, gallbladder and pancreas?

I haven't had bloodwork done in about five years. I have an anxiety disorder, and I'm deathly afraid of needles... I've been written a referral to a blood lab a few times, but I can never go through with it. Still, I had wondered if this might be a gallbladder thing... I'll have to see if there's some alternative to getting bloodwork done in the traditional manner.

Edit: Forgot to add, pain seems to be generally in the lower bowels, right around where my belt would normally sit.

You could ask for an ultrasound , mrcp or a ct scan possibly.
