Mild Lactose Intolerance???

I always thought I just never "liked" milk....I never liked the way it tasted nor how it made me feel. I stopped drinking milk/half and half about a year ago all together, although I still eat cheese, yogurt, and ice cream. When I do use straight up milk (like in creamy pasta or mac and cheese) I feel bloated and just gross pretty much right after (although not "sick" nor do I have cramps)....could this be from the milk? that's really the only factor that all of these meals have in common as far as I can tell. could that be a mild form of lactose intolerance, since I am not bothered by any other dairy products? how can I know for certain? is there a test?

Yes, there is a test. A Hydrogen Breath test, usually administered by a Gastroenterologist, GI doctor, can tell you if you have lactose intolerance. It is a very simple test and totally painless!
