Good Nutrition?

Good Nutrition?


I am a 21 year old male in good health and fitness, except I eat zero vegetables each day. I have recently found an item called "Mann's Nourish Bowls" -the bacon maple Brussels flavor- and was wondering if one of these each day is a sufficient and healthy way to get some greens everyday? Note: I throw away the included sauces but I'm mainly wondering if these are roughly the same as fresh greens, which are much harder to store for just 1 person; also, for those unfamiliar with the item it requires you to warm the "bowl" up for a few minutes, which could affect what you're actually getting from it.

Yes. It's certainly a start

Sufficient? Not if that's the only veggies you're planning to eat. A wider variety of veggies is needed to provide a wider range of nutrients. Try to "eat the rainbow". A minimum of 5 servings of fruits and veggies is recommended every day.

If keeping fresh veggies is inconvenient for you, don't discount frozen veggies which are often more nutritious than fresh because they are processed soon after harvest preserving nutrients. Fresh veggies shipped thousands of miles before hanging out in a produce case for days, exposed to light and especially those that are cut up for you, can easily lose a lot of their nutrients. Fresh or frozen, just find whatever variety appeals to you. The important thing is that you eat more of them.
