someone help please. ive recently accidently dehydrated myself to a minor extent, so i started drinking more water. And in 2 days ive gained 4 pounds! What the heck is this? What can i do?? Thanks.

If you gained 4 pounds of water weight in two days, u definately needed it. It will not hurt you physiological shape though and it should balance off once you have reached normal hydration. To avoid retaining too much water in your body avoid eating to much salt in your food and drink water, not sports drinks like Gatorade (they have sodium to help you retain the water u drink). Monitor how much water u drink by the color of your urine. It should be very light in color unless your taking supplements which darken your urine as you urinate them out. Also with increase water intake you should be sweating more which will keep your skin pores healthy. You can taste the sweat on your arm, if it is salty your eating to much salt and not drinking enough water. For a couple of week you may feel a little more tired and fatigue do to less sugar energy and caffeine found in the other things you was drinking.
