Best oatmeal to get?

I have 2 brands of oatmeal in my kitchen (Quaker and store bought), and both say "100% natural oats" but they have 26 - 27g of carbs with 3 - 4g of fiber per 1/2 cp.. I was wondering if this was good or bad and what is the best brand of oatmeal to buy? They do have a good fat percentage though, 2 - 2.5g per 1/2 cp.

BTW, the store bought brand had less fat, less carbs, and more fiber than the Quaker brand.

Thanks for the replies :) I'm trying to lose about 20 pounds (want to go from 133 to 113) but more importantly lose inches :) I'll only be eating 1/2 cp. of oatmeal a day, i hope that's not too much :)

woodahs,

If you want a TREAT get a carton of Irish steel cut oats at a good specialty store. Read the box- it should take about 45 minutes to cook but they are WONDERFUL!

For the supermarket brands, go with the ones that aren't called INSTANT. They are just too sludgy. The better ones take all of 5 minutes, and are usually called "Old Fashioned" or "Regular"...Quaker and Generic are very similar!
